July 16th to July 29th 2006
We have been planning this trip since March of 2006. Originally we were going to go to Bora Bora back in December 2005 but a typhoon destroyed the resort. We been doing mainly tropical vacations. So this time we decided to focus on something historical. We could not believe that the day finally arrived and we were gone. Our itinerary took us to Paris via Boston on July 16th. arriving there Monday morning. We are to spend 2 days in Paris, then driving to the Normandy Beach area staying in Caen, then driving back to Paris on Thursday Afternoon. Then flying to London on Friday staying in the city center for three days. Monday July 24th we are renting a car and driving up to Northern Scotland, spending the night in Cardiff, Nottingham, Newcastle upon Tyne, and Edinburgh. Friday evening we are scheduled to fly back to London from Edinburgh, spending the night and back home via Chicago on Saturday, July 29th.
