Welcome to my genealogy database. Please note that all the information contained within was either given to me by other individuals or was obtained from public accessible databases via the internet or from libraries, courthouses, etc. Everything within, with the exception of the family stories is available on the internet. With respect to the Deason family most of the data came from a book called, "The Book of Deason", published in 1978 by Helen Ring Womack and Mary Frank Deason Dunn. There were only 10 copies ever made, which I was fortunate enough to have obtained a copy. In the late 80's both Helen and Mary gave me permission to add to this and eventually publish an updated copy. Time seems to have flown by and 20 years have passed since then. I decided I was not getting any younger (50) and that I had best get busy on this project, or another 20 years might slip by me. I'm targeting for a date in late 2008 for this. The descendants of Joseph Deason (1784-1845) to date are at 1900 and growing. This is where I need your help in completing this. You can help me complete this project by reviewing what information, if any, that I have about your family and insuring that it is correct. You can also submit pictures here. I would like photos and histories of everyone, especially of the older past generations. As the older family members pass on, if these antidotes and histories are not written down, then it is lost forever. Its up to us to keep the memories of our ancestors alive through the printed or electronic word.
