Anthony ‘Tony’ Weldon Tipton

Anthony “Tony” Weldon Tipton, 61, of Fannett, Texas, died Thursday, July 6, 2006, at his home after a long battle with lymphoma.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Oliver Tipton and Hazel Holmes.

He is survived by his wife, Anita Tipton of Fannett; daughter, Diane Cooley and husband Rodger of Nederland; daughter, Melissa Malley and husband Joey of Beaumont; two grandchildren, Colin Cooley and Emily Malley; sister, Jeanne Marie Tipton of Jacksonville; sister, ReJeana Paulk and husband Jim of Jacksonville; brother, Ricky Tipton and wife Dorothy of Ponta; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Tony was born in Jacksonville, Texas and raised in New Summerfield. He worked as a first class machinist, enjoyed the game of billiards, a good round of golf, and spending time with his family.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2006, at 2 p.m. at Boren-Conner Funeral Home at 750 S. Jackson St. in Jacksonville, with burial to follow in Myrtle Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday, July 7, 2006, at Boren-Conner.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to your favorite charity.
